

Aiyshen Padilla Named As Director of African American Development at AARP

Aiyshen S. Padilla has been named as Director, African American/Black Membership Development & Integration, AARP.
In this role, Padilla is responsible for developing strategies and implementing tactics that will make the member experience valuable for African American AARP members.
She will also be responsible for creating multicultural activities that can be used in acquiring and retaining African American and Asian American membership.
“Aiyshen has a broad and deep background in strategic marketing and cus tom er loyalty management,” said Jerry Florence, Group Executive Officer for Membership.

“With her experience in managing ethnic markets here at AARP and in former positions, we are sure that her efforts will make the member experience even more meaningful for African American and Asian American members.”
Previously Padilla served as Manager for Hispanic Marketing with AARP in which she planned, developed and implemented membership marketing initiatives. Prior to that, Padilla managed multicultural marketing for Giant Food and served as a leader in the health program at George Mason University where she managed community level programs targeted to diverse populations.
Padilla is a graduate of Towson State University and is working on her MBA from the University of Maryland.
