Can President Bush unify the country?

He hasn’t done it in the first four years; he’s not going to it in the next four years. His intent was never to unify. It was always to strategize and get his positions upfront. I don’t think that he really wants to. I think that he has his own hidden agenda and he’s trying to satisfy his own ego. [His agenda] is not to help poor people; it’s to help the rich get richer. |

Look at what he’s done so far. He had four years to get a lot of stuff done and I just think that he wasted a lot of time. He fooled everybody so that he could get four more years and I think that it’s going to be more of the same, like he said. In order for us to progress, we’re going to have new leadership. I think these next four years are going to be a waste until we get somebody else in. We need change. |

I do not believe that he can unify the country. He hasn’t done it in the four years that he has been in there and I really don’t think that it’s on his agenda, as far as everyone in the country. Now, there are probably certain groups that he caters to. I think that the people as a whole will have to pull together to get things to run the way they should. |

I really don’t that Bush should be here for another term. I really do think that we should have had another president this term. [He can’t unify the country] in my opinion, because we have had too many terrorists acts and too much crime in the city. Put a Democrat in the White House. It’s so sad. |

[Misidentified last week as Trina Ruffin] I don’t believe that he has the leadership capabilities to unite the country. He may feel that he needs to make some concessions to make it appear as though he’s given us something, so he may make some changes but I think, basically, that he will stay true to his own nature. |
