Tackling Gun Violence Laying Down

The Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence held a lie-in protest on April 16 outside of the U.S. Capital. Protestors wore orange and maroon ribbons to commemorate the 33 students who lost their lives to gun violence at Virginia Polytechnic and Institute State University in April 2007. The Center, a grassroots, national organization, is devoted to creating an America free from gun violence, where all Americans are safe at home, at school, at work, and in their communities. They work to reform the gun industry by enacting and enforcing sensible regulations to reduce gun violence, including regulations governing the gun industry. In addition, they educate the public about gun violence through litigation, grassroots mobilization, and outreach to affected communities.
