It’s going to be tough sledding for candidates vying to unseat D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser in the June primary, if the campaign finance reports are any indication.

Bowser, 47, has raised $2 million since announcing her re-election bid last summer, including $600,000 since mid-December, according to financial records submitted this week.

The District’s eighth and widely popular mayor, who has been in office since 2015, so far lacks any credible challengers. Hopefuls have until March 21 to file a declaration of candidacy for the June 19 Democratic primary.
