The Broadway League announced Friday ticket sales for Broadway productions in New York City will be postponed through May 30.

Each of the 41 Broadway theaters has been shuttered since March 12 due to the coronavirus pandemic and the Broadway League, the trade association for the Broadway industry, has consistently extended the suspension of shows, CNN reported.

Up until Friday’s announcement, the league said shows wouldn’t return to the stage until at least January 2021.

The league said theater patrons possessing tickets for dates through May 30, 2021 should contact their point of purchase agent for details on exchanges and refunds.

Charlotte St. Martin, president of the league, said “with 97,000 workers who rely in Broadway for their livelihood and an annual economic impact of $14.8 billion to the city, our membership is committed to re-opening as soon as conditions permit us to do so.”

“We are working tirelessly with multiple partners on sustaining the industry once we raise the curtains,” Martin said, CNN reported.

As of Friday, the U.S. has roughly 7.6 million coronavirus cases and 213,000 related deaths, both tops globally, according to a Johns Hopkins University tracker.
