Out-of shape believers, beware! Jeff Williams wants to change your life, spiritually and physically, through his ministry, Restore Fitness.

His faith-based program offers affordable personal training, meal plans and free lessons on the Word of God.

“My goal is to spread awareness of the importance of fitness and health in the Church and to bring as many souls to Jesus Christ as possible,” said Williams, who calls himself, ‘The Fitness Evangelist.’

According to the 2014 statistics from the Centers for Disease Control, emphasis on fitness is sorely needed in America. CDC states that 35 percent of U.S. adults are obese.  The number rises to 48 percent among Blacks.

“But, what is worse is that 32 percent of the Church is obese,” insists Williams. “Beloved, this is not the will of God.  Obesity carries diseases like high-blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, back pain, ulcers and more.

“When I saw the physical condition of members of the Church and how we are being attacked in our health, it appears that we have become ignorant of Satan in his attack on our health and eating habits. So, I am exposing him so we will not be ignorant any longer,” he declared.

To prepare a regimen for his students, Williams relies on his five years of training experience along with his nine years of evangelizing.  In addition, he studied kinesiology at Humboldt State University where he also played football and received honors in strength and conditioning on the All American level.

Williams became spiritually prepared through his involvement in ministries at Miracle Temple Church of God Pentecostal in Inglewood.  In fact, his pastor, Bishop Johnny Young, has guided and entrusted him to conduct several Bible Studies for members.

Outlining the connection between spiritual and physical health, Williams said, “I believe there are two themes in the Bible.  The first is the most important found in John 3:16, ‘For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him, should not perish, but have everlasting life.’

“The second compliments the first and is found in 3 John 1:2, ‘Beloved, I wish above all things that you prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers. I believe the first leads us to salvation and the second helps us understand the will of God for His people,” noted Williams.

“The Lord has a wish for us and it is to prosper us, but He tells us He needs our soul to prosper. The soul of a man is made up of his intellect, his consciousness, and emotions, i.e., his mind. God needs our minds to prosper, so that we can prosper,” he shared.

“Let us practice self-control in our eating and let us exercise. As cited in 1 Timothy 4:8, ‘For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things.’

“So join me, The Fitness Evangelist, in helping the Body of Christ be in the perfect will of God by staying healthy!”
