The 10th annual Lake Arbor Jazz Festival will take place July 11-14 with more than a dozen artists scheduled to perform featuring Jonathan Butler, Kirk Whalum and Kayla Waters.

A pre-festival will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Olde Town Inn in Largo. The next day features a VIP white affair at 7:30 p.m. at Martin’s Camelot in Upper Marlboro.

The highlight of festival will be from 1-8 p.m. Saturday outside at Lake Arbor Community Center in Mitchellville.

Two concerts are scheduled Sunday at the Bowie Performing Arts Center in Bowie. The first features an “inspirational jazz festival at 2 p.m. with Butler, Whalum, The Blackbyrds and Lil Asmar. A few hours later there will be a grand finale beginning at 7 p.m.

The entire event is hosted by the Prince George’s Cultural Arts Foundation which promotes music, drama, fine arts and other activities in Prince George’s County.
