When the government shuts down, what does that mean? I hear that folks are going without pay, but that seems illegal to me. People have families, bills and more bills and just like that, they don’t have income, because of fools in Congress and the president? All of this over a wall? The hate for immigrants and minorities run deep, unless you have the complexion for the protection.

Ethiopians Making Mark in District
I didn’t know what to make of the title “Ethiopians Dominate D.C.’s African Community,” because, by itself, it sounds as if Ethiopians are at the top or preside over other Africans and other African communities, which had me shaking my head for that to be put in a Black newspaper. But after reading, I now understand that 30,000 of them are in and around the District and they have quite a presence on the business scene. Good for them.
