More than 1,000 deaths from the novel coronavirus were reported in the United States over the past 24 hours, CNN reported Friday morning.

The death toll since Thursday reached 1,036, according to the CNN report, which cites a Johns Hopkins University tracker. That total includes cases from all 50 states, D.C. and the U.S. territories and possessions in addition to repatriated cases.

The U.S. has now roughly 1.9 million confirmed coronavirus cases, including more than 108,000 deaths, according to Johns Hopkins.
