Seat Pleasant, Maryland, has furloughed nearly one-fourth of its staff as the ongoing coronavirus pandemic wreaks havoc on its revenue, said the town’s acting chief executive.

Of the Prince George’s County town’s roughly 60 staffers, excluding police or public works employees, 12 have been furloughed and four have had full-time hours cut, acting Chief Operating Officer Devan Martin told WTTG-TV (Channel 5).

As of Monday, Prince George’s County has more than 23,300 confirmed coronavirus cases, including 741 deaths.
