Just days before the Thanksgiving holiday, actor, writer and producer Tyler Perry donated food and money to thousands of needy families and individuals in Atlanta.
The owner of the Atlanta-based Tyler Perry Studios distributed the items on Nov. 22 amid a crowd of long lines that stretched five miles south of the city’s downtown, Fox News reported.
The event, which began at 8 a.m. Sunday, was already out of food by 10 a.m. as volunteers in protective equipment handed out the last of the food and gift cards, according to an event press release.
Perry also joined the holiday spirit in 2018 when he walked into an Atlanta-area Walmart and paid off more than $400,000 worth of layaways just in time for Christmas, Fox News reported.
