The Washington Monument, which has been closed for much of the coronavirus pandemic, including since January, will reopen to the public Wednesday.
National Park Service officials said the monument will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., seven days a week. All visitors, whether they’ve been vaccinated or not, will have to wear a mask while inside.
Tickets are available online only beginning at 10 a.m. daily. Reservations must be made the day before the visit, with each ticket good for up to a group of four. There is a $1 fee for each ticket.
The monument, which closed in March 2020 at the outset of the pandemic, reopened in October before closing again in January as cases in the D.C. region surged.
