What We Do
We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that helps children and adults reach their fullest potential by implementing programs and sponsoring events to improve and strengthen their literacy skills. We educate, inspire, and reward citizens and offer scholarships and fellowships for aspiring journalists.
Why We Do It
Washington Informer Charities was founded by Dr. Calvin W. Rolark, Sr. in 1989. We honor him for his commitment to promoting literacy and self-esteem among D.C., Maryland, and Virginia residents byย publishing and promoting positive news and events to enrich and educate the communit
