For children and parents in search of a good book to read during the winter break, Prince Georgeโ€™s County Public Schools CEO Monica Goldson shared her own reading list of authors with local ties.

Jason Reynoldsโ€™ โ€œLook Both Way: A Tale Told in Ten Blocksโ€ weaves a tale into what can happen after a day in middle school. The infamous โ€œDiary of a Wimpy Kidโ€ series by Jeff Kinney published book 14 entitled โ€œWrecking Ballโ€ provides Greg Heffleyโ€™s family an inheritance to handle reconstruction to their home. Children can read whether home improvement works in the Heffley home.

In one of the most extraordinary moments this year, preschooler Parker Curry stood mesmerized in front of a portrait of former first lady Michelle Obama. So, Parker and her mother, Jessica Curry, penned a book of the experience when โ€œParker Looks Up.โ€
