Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan delineated $190 million in federal coronavirus relief for small businesses, higher education and nonprofit groups.
The Republican governor said Tuesday that $45 million will fund a program to aid small businesses which will issue grants of up to $10,000 to firms of 50 or fewer workers, The Associated Press reported.
The program has presently provided more than $40 million to 4,073 applicants. Another $50 million will set up the Maryland Nonprofit Recovery Initiative to help organizations on revenue reductions and expenses. About $90 million will be utilized to reimburse state-funded universities for expenses related to the coronavirus pandemic.
