My heart was deeply touched today when I read “DC Churches the Bedrock…..” and saw that you honored my late husband, Reverend Perry Smith, in your article. I am so proud that his legacy is still being honored.
It was so important to him that his fight for equality never stopped. He looked forward to the next generation “picking up the torch of justice.” He would have been so proud that you remembered him.
