Washington Revels presents its 41st annual production of โ€œChristmas Revels: The Magical Medieval Tale of Sir Gawain and the Green Knightโ€ from Friday to Sunday at the George Washington Universityโ€™s Lisner Auditorium in Northwest.

The event will have five in-person performances. Virtual online viewing will be available from Dec. 22 to Jan. 5.

At the heart of this production is a diverse, multigenerational Washington Revels company, ages 8 to 92, presenting English and French music from the Middle Ages by Guillaume Du Fay, Johannes Ockeghem, Colin Muset; with many moments for the audience to join the singing of seasonal carols, and Revels favorites including โ€œLord of the Dance,โ€ โ€œThe Boarโ€™s Head Carol,โ€ and โ€œDona Nobis Pacem.โ€

Joined by seasoned Revels veterans Morgan Duncan and Emma Jaster, and an ensemble of professional actors portraying beloved characters of legend โ€” Arthur, Guinevere, Sir Gawain, and the magical Green Knight โ€” this ancient medieval poem will be brought to life on the Lisner stage with spectacle, pomp and pageantry, said event organizers.

Tickets are available for purchase on the Washington Revels website. Purchase online at https://revelsdc.org/shows-events/christmas-revels.
