The Stand Foundation is planning a Summer Bash festival on July 27 at the Rosecroft Racetrack in Fort Washington, Maryland.
The event will consist of celebrating Blackness, creativity, wellness and the profound connection between humans and horses. There will be an inclusive Vendor Row showcasing the talent of young creatives, small businesses, and organizations.
Attendees will be able to explore and support artisans from crochet to jewelry-making, wellness remedies, and various other artistic mediums. There will be a Wellness Row offering demonstrations in holistic practices such as yoga and meditation as well as entertainment with a live podcast featuring a panel of Black equestrians talking about their craft.
Attendees could learn about unmounted equestrian disciplines such as equine-assisted psychotherapy and equine facilitated learning. There will be a Fun Zone designed for families and hosted by Wonderfly Games and Ponyman and noted bands such as the Soul Searchers and artists Stinky Dink, Fly Zyah and DeeClark will entertain attendees.
