The Black Hollywood Education and Resource Center will screen selected social justice films online for the closing weekend of the 26th annual African American Film Marketplace and S.E. Manly Short Film Showcase.
The festival, which began Oct. 23 and runs through Sunday, will show the films starting at 4 p.m. PT Saturday at www.bherc.tv, followed by a Q&A session with Sandra J. Evers-Manly, the center’s president and founder, as moderator.
The weekend events will also feature a virtual “Soul Food & Films” closing celebration at 5 p.m. PT Sunday.
The festival, which has been all-virtual this year due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, has been attended by and entertained more than 6,000 people from around the globe who watched the industry panels, special events and screenings, and 140 curated films.
