Monumental Sports Network said Wednesday it is expanding distribution and cutting subscription prices to make it easier for fans to watch Washington-area teams.

The regional sports network will join DIRECTV’s MyHome Team streaming service while reducing the annual price of its Monumental+ direct-to-consumer platform to $179.99, down from $239.88 for 12 monthly subscriptions.

MNMT will become available on MyHome Team, a $19.99 add-on to DIRECTV’s MySports package that launched on baseball’s opening day earlier this year. The service gives subscribers access to local teams available in their region from a portfolio of about 30 regional sports networks. MNMT joins a MyHome Team lineup that includes 18 NBA, 10 NHL and 17 MLB teams โ€” 45 of 71 U.S.-based franchises.

MySports also provides national sports networks including ESPN, Fox Sports, NBC Sports, CBS Sports and Turner Sports; league channels for the NBA, NHL, MLB and NFL; conference networks for the ACC, Big Ten and SEC; and ESPN Unlimited streaming at no additional charge.

The expansion gives more homes across the Washington area access to live broadcasts of the NHL’s Capitals, NBA’s Wizards and WNBA’s Mystics, along with MNMT’s original programming.

“Monumental Sports Network already reaches millions of homes across the DMV, and we’re always looking for ways to make it even easier for fans to watch our live games and our other programming,” said Zach Leonsis, president of media and new enterprises at Monumental Sports & Entertainment. “We’re constantly pushing to make Monumental more accessible โ€” whether it’s enhancing the streaming experience or lowering the cost of subscriptions.”

MNMT reaches millions of homes from Delaware to south of Richmond and is carried by major providers including Comcast Xfinity, Verizon FiOS and DIRECTV. The network said Capitals broadcasts outperformed ESPN locally 69% of the time during game nights last season, with overall viewership up 37% year over year. Mystics games saw a 46% increase in viewership in 2025 compared with 2024.

Beyond professional sports, MNMT holds exclusive local television rights for the NBA G League’s Capital City Go-Go and broadcasts college football, basketball, lacrosse and volleyball; high school basketball; esports; and games from the Washington Spirit (NWSL) and Old Glory DC (Major League Rugby). The network aired nearly 500 games during the 2024-25 season.

Fans can access MNMT through pay TV subscriptions, on monumentalplus.com or through the Monumental+ app on iOS, Amazon Prime Video, Android, Apple TV, Chromecast, DIRECTV Gemini, Fire TV, Roku, Samsung, X1 and Xfinity Xumo using an eligible TV Everywhere login.
