Community organizations throughout the area shared groceries and essentials with families in need this Thanksgiving. This video features a few moments from multi-day grocery giveaways across DC and Maryland captured by Washington Informer Photographers November 22-26.  Dedicated volunteers, generous donors, and community partners:  Hour Generation Foundation, Shooters Sport and The Jamie Tyler Foundation, Prince George’s County District 6 Councilmember Walla Blegay, Metropolitan Baptist Church and The Storehouse, Greater Mt. Calvary Holy Church and the Capital Area Food Bank for Project Feed 5000 distributed groceries, pantry staples, and clothing items to the community.  Safeway held its annual Feast of Sharing at the Walter Washington Convention Center.  Volunteers loaded boxes and distributed groceries to families to ensure that no family face the holidays hungry.
