What is your favorite place in Maryland to visit during the summer?
Dayana Bergman, Eldersburg, Maryland
“Piney Run Park in Eldersburg, Maryland, is one of my favorite summer vacation spots. Our veterans and military families get free admission to the park. We usually enjoy renting out the paddle boats. It also has a ramp that you can launch your own boat vessel and go fishing. We tend to take our dog out for a hike as well. Itโs a very family-friendly park with lots to explore.

โThe beach in Ocean City is my favorite summer vacation spot and my favorite East Coast beach. The scenery looking out into the ocean is gorgeous. I met a talented artist there who sold me a painting of the shoreline and waves that Iโve kept displayed in my room for years.โ

โMy favorite vacation spot in Maryland is the Eastern Shore. So many great small towns with much to offer, from the Underground Railroad Train in Cambridge, the beauty of Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge, and history in Chestertown, Salisbury, and St. Michaels. Small town America at its best!โ
Nova Coston, Clinton, Maryland
โSolomonโs Island has become our favorite place in Maryland to visit โ and for good reason. Between the amazing restaurants, the beautiful beaches, and the peace and relaxation that seem to greet you the moment you arrive, it feels like a little escape without ever leaving home. My son and I have made so many beautiful memories there. Whether weโre exploring, enjoying the water, trying something new to eat, watching the boats drift by, or simply slowing down and taking in the view, there is truly something for everyone to enjoy.
โWhat we love most is that Solomonโs gives us both adventure and rest all in one place. One moment weโre laughing and discovering something new, and the next weโre sitting quietly, enjoying the calm and soaking in the moment. It reminds us that some of the best memories are made in the simplest places. Solomonโs Island isnโt just somewhere we visit โ itโs a place where memories are created, peace is restored, and time together feels a little more special every single trip.โ
