Michelle Williams, former member of the Grammy-winning group Destinyโ€™s Child, will star next month in โ€œRespect: The Music of Aretha Franklin,โ€ a tribute to the career of the legendary singer.

The show will take place Saturday, Sept. 16 at 8 p.m. at Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater in southwest D.C.

Williams will star alongside the American Pops Orchestra in showcasing the music of โ€œThe Queen of Soul,โ€ including โ€œNatural Woman,โ€ โ€œChain of Fools, โ€œSpanish Harlemโ€ and โ€œSince Youโ€™ve Been Gone.โ€

Other performers include Moya Angela (โ€œAmericaโ€™s Got Talent,โ€ โ€œIn Transit,โ€ โ€œDreamgirlsโ€), Ariana Debose (โ€œHamilton,โ€ โ€œA Bronx Taleโ€), D.C.-born actress and singer Nova Payton and jazz artist Bria Skonberg.

Franklin, whose career spans more than six decades, has won 18 Grammys and sold 75 million records.
