Omarosa Manigault Newman is set to leave the Trump administration next month, the White House said Wednesday.

Manigault Newman, who serves as President Donald Trumpโ€™s liaison to the Black community, will step down Jan. 20, one year after Trumpโ€™s inauguration, said White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

โ€œOmarosa Manigault Newman resigned yesterday to pursue other opportunities,โ€ Sanders said in a statement. โ€œWe wish her the best in future endeavors and are grateful for her serviceโ€

Manigault Newman, a former contestant on Trumpโ€™s reality TV show โ€œThe Apprentice,โ€ joined the administration last January as director of communications for the White House Office of Public Liaison.
