Florida gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum and his supporters have demanded a recount in the Nov. 6 election for which he had earlier conceded to Republican opponent Ron DeSantis.

The Tallahassee mayor, who ran as a Democrat, trails DeSantis by 33,684 votes.

โ€œThe final count is not done. Letโ€™s be clear about that,โ€ Gillum said Sunday during services at the Bethel AME Church in Tallahassee.

Gillum is the first African-American to capture a major Florida party nomination and received the most votes ever for a Democratic gubernatorial candidate.
