Howard University freshman guard Saniyah King has been awarded the 2025 Mid-Eastern Rookie of the Year Award and is looking to win the conference championship, having already achieved her goal of winning rookie of the year.

Joshua Heron, a contributing writer for The Washington Informer, earned his bachelor's degree in journalism, media, and film from Howard University in May 2023. He went on to complete a master's in sports journalism at Arizona State University in 2024. This summer, he will join the Indianapolis Star as a sports intern.
