I was happy to see Aminta Breaux, Bowie Stateโ€™s newest and first female president on the cover of The Washington Informer this week. While her being the first at the oldest HBCU in Maryland is obviously a shame, I am glad the university is moving in the right direction. I also liked the Q&A style of the story, which was easy for me to read and straight to the point. Breaux is an intelligent woman and I look forward to what sheโ€™ll do during her tenure. I depend on The Informer for this kind of news, so keep it up!

Canโ€™t Wait for the Editorโ€™s Commentary

Every week I look forward to reading your editor D. Kevin McNeirโ€™s column. Every time I read it, I walk away with something to think about or reflect on. I love how he tackles tough topics, even sharing his own personal experiences to show that issues such as sexual assault, racism and discrimination have touched everyone. Iโ€™ve also found myself laughing out loud. Keep being unapologetically you, Mr. McNeir.
