What does peace look like in 2026?ย

Leonard McNab, Detroit
โ€œIn 2026, everybody is coming to a mutual agreement. We donโ€™t have to agree on everything, but we donโ€™t have to fight and go to war or beef because we disagree. We can disagree, but it doesnโ€™t have to turn into a battle.โ€

Trae Stocks, Southeast D.C.
โ€œEveryone to be happy, healthy, whole and have their needs met especially those within D.C.โ€

Maude Hills, South Carolina
โ€œMy concept of peace is that everyone is believing in the same thing at the same time; thereโ€™s no fighting. In the context of living in D.C., because Iโ€™ve experienced homelessness off and on for 30 years, I would say services for the homeless, and those at risk of being homeless, be more supplied by D.C. There needs to be attention on what people will lose as a result of not having income.โ€ย

Robert Abney, Southwest D.C.
โ€œ[With President Donald Trump] I think that peace will not come anytime soon. He started a war that was not sanctioned by Congress, and heโ€™s violating the Constitution in many ways, endangering our democracy.โ€
