As the year closes, new developments and businesses remain on the horizon in Prince George’s County.
Health care provider Concentra is planning to open a new location in College Park with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Dec. 12, roughly a mile away from their former location in Beltsville. Concentra operates a second medical facility in Lanham and 13 total locations across Maryland. The new location will have upgraded X-ray equipment, additional exam rooms, and larger physical therapy space.
Free State Distillery, a Black-owned operation that owns Arthur Wheeler Spirits Company, opened on Nov. 26.
“Between the tastings, the tour, and customer service, this place is 10/10.,” said Jennifer Lea, who visited the distillery last week to her large social media following. “Looking for a place that crafts exceptional spirits and serves up great vibes? The Free State Distillery in Upper Marlboro, [Maryland], is the spot to be! From handcrafted cocktails to a welcoming atmosphere, this is where quality meets creativity.”
The Laurel Commerce Center, a two-building site with nearly 60,000 square feet of warehouses and industrial space on Baltimore Avenue, sold for $9.175 million. The site was 91% leased at the time of sale and Finmarc Management, Inc., a Bethesda-based commercial real estate investment and management firm completed the sale. The tenants include Mr. Tire, AWA Auto Repair, New Again Auto Body, and JRS Auto Repair and the Commerce Center is roughly 15 miles from BWI Airport and 24 miles from Ronald Reagan Airport.
“This disposition further demonstrates the ability and effectiveness of our vertically-integrated team to source and acquire strategically located properties in highly differentiated asset classes and significantly maximize the value of the property during our hold period with expert leasing and property management tactics,” said Finmarc co-founder and principal David Fink.
