Three Ways to Explore Environmental Justice Through Art This Week

Three different D.C. art museums — the Hirshhorn, the Kreeger and the Freer Gallery of Art — currently have exhibitions or events focused on environmental justice and the climate crisis, bringing environmental issues to life in a way that science and data rarely can. 

D.C. Attorney General Karl Racine (at podium) announces a lawsuit against chemical manufacturer Velsicol during a press conference on Oct. 13. Environmental justice advocates from NAACP DC, the Sierra Club and Groundwork Anacostia River DC also spoke in support of the suit.
