Black master teachers, including Malcolm X, Martin Luther King Jr., Lerone Bennett Jr., Harold Cruse, Hoyt Fuller, John Henrik Clarke, and Fannie Lou Hamer, advocated for serious Black unity in order to promote and protect their health, economic, cultural, political, educational, technological and communication interests.
