“The Color Purple”, a reimagined musical version of Alice Walker’s novel, is set to release on Christmas Day, and has been executive-produced by Oprah Winfrey, Steven Spielberg, and Quincy Jones, with the cast featuring Fantasia Barrino-Taylor, Danielle Brooks, and Taraji P. Henson.
