Icon Talks hosted an evening of empowerment with actor, artist, activist and poet Omari Hardwick on Thursday, June 30 at 8:30 pm, at the Arena Stage Mead Center for American Theater in Southwest. The event also honored media mogul Cathy Hughes and Civil Rights Activist Reverend Jesse Jackson, Sr. Icon Talks is an avant-garde platform offering intimate discussion, insight and performance with icons from various walks of life–from music moguls to professional athletes, CEO’s, actors and activists. The performances and conversations explore paths to success and provide a platform to engage, entertain and inspire.
