Lawsuit Seeks Damages, Reform and Transparency for DYRS

Two attorneys have filed a civil rights lawsuit against a former juvenile corrections officer, the director of the D.C. Department of Youth Rehabilitation Services, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser, and the D.C. Office of the Attorney General for sexual abuse of a minor, demanding damages, policy changes, and increased transparency at the D.C. Youth Services Center.
