Virginia is having a historic Election Day with potentially barrier-breaking candidates throughout the ballot, with either Democrat Abigail Spanberger or Republican Winsome Earle-Sears becoming the first woman to serve as governor, and other races, such as lieutenant governor and attorney general, also being closely contested.
