The generous support of the Prince George’s County Drug Policy Coalition has enabled 23 students to get a tighter grip on their plans toward higher education. The students — all of whom live in the county — were awarded scholarships totaling $18,000 on Thursday, during the eighth annual Empowering Future Leaders Scholarship Breakfast, held at the Harborside Hotel in Oxon Hill.
