GW Transplant Institute: Among Fastest Growing Transplant Facilities in U.S.

The District has the highest rate of kidney disease per capita in the U.S. But despite such sobering statistics, hope has appeared on the horizon due in great part to the generosity of one local businessman.

Staff and faculty from the GW Hospital Transplant Institute provided kidney health education and blood pressure screening at the NBC4 Health and Fitness Expo, in partnership with the GW/Ron and Joy Paul Kidney Center.
