Local activists celebrated the passage of two emergency bills that mandate the Metropolitan Police Department’s inclusion of federal officers’ names in arrest reports and affidavits, and release of local officer body camera footage from the scene of federal officer-involved shootings and use-of-force incidents, while young people continue to experience the psychological effects of increased federal presence in the community.
