Phylicia Rashad, Dean of Howard University’s Chadwick Boseman College of Fine Arts, was awarded the Benny Golson Jazz Master Award for her support of the Howard University Jazz Ensemble, and Fred Irby III was recognized for his 50 years of work with Howard University jazz music students.
