Gov. Wes Moore has appointed Sen. Michael Jackson to serve as the next superintendent of the Maryland State Police, while Walter Simmons has been appointed as the acting secretary of the newly established Maryland Department of Social and Economic Mobility, and Tracy M. Benjamin has been appointed as the deputy CAO of economic development for Prince George’s County.
