Music by Black Classical Composers Brings in Black History Month at the Washington National Cathedral

The Washington National Cathedral hosted “Onward & Upward: The Unsung Heroes of Classical Music” concert, featuring music by Hall Johnson, Joseph Bologne, Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, Andrae Crouch, and Duke Ellington, with collaborations from The Denyce Graves Foundation, the Coalition for African Americans in the Performing Arts, and The Sam Bonds Chorale.
