Roughly 10% of the world’s population is now fully vaccinated against the coronavirus, according to data from an online scientific publication.
Our World in Data reported more than 30% of North Americans and 28% of Europeans are fully vaccinated, compared to nearly 11% of South American and 8% of Asia, CNN reported.
By comparison, less than 1% of people in Africa fully immunized, the data shows.
CNN reported vaccinations in high-income nations (28.5%) are more than 10 times of those in lower-middle-income countries (2.7%). In lower-income nations, specifically, just 0.1% of the population is fully vaccinated.
The world’s most vaccinated nations are Israel (60%), Bahrain (54%), Mongolia (52%), Hungary (47%), the U.S. (45%) and Uruguay (41%). The least vaccinated countries are Kenya (0.4%), Ukraine (0.8%), Pakistan (2%), Australia (3%) and India (4%).
