A 47-year-old woman in D.C. has died of COVID-19.

The city health department reported the death but didn’t release any other details, according to WRC-TV (Channel 4).

It was the 1,160th coronavirus-related death in the city since the outset of the pandemic early last year, the health department reported.

So far, the city has recorded more than 55,000 coronavirus cases during the pandemic, WRC reported.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention presently lists D.C. as “high” regarding its coronavirus transmission level, WRC reported.
