Rapper and actor 50 Cent revealed this week that Donald Trump’s team offered him $500,000 to make an appearance for him during the campaign season.
50, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, mentioned the president’s proposal during an interview Tuesday on New York’s Hot 97 radio station, adding that he believed it was motivated by a desire to appeal to Black voters.
“Before [Trump] got elected, they were having issues with the African-American vote,” he said. “They wanted to pay me $500,000 as part of the campaign just to make an appearance. I was like, ‘Nah, that’s not good money.’
“I’m not going to do that,” he said. “That’s not worth it!”
