Two armed suspects reportedly robbed a New York church during a funeral, demanding money from two employees.

WIVB.com reports that the two men, who wore masks and hazardous material-type suits while wielding a knife and a gun, forced their way into the rectory at St. Aloysius Gonzaga Church in Cheektowga on Monday.

Police said the men demanded money from two female church employees, who handed over money from a safe and their own purses. The victims were not injured.

“Secretary who came to the door asked, ‘How can I help you?’ The two males asked for food. When she opened the door, they pushed their way in,” Cheektowaga Police Det. Lt. Tom Wentland said.
