(USA Today)—Those Georgia State and UAB upsets were all kinds of fun. Ditto for Wichita State winning the Sunflower State Showdown. While the folks in Philly may not agree, the dumpster fire that was the East Region sums up why March Madness is the best sporting event of the year.
Now comes the really good stuff.
The Final Four has a grudge match a year in the making, a trip down memory lane, a run at history by Kentucky’s NBA farm team and the Master of March, aka Michigan State coach Tom Izzo. As if that’s not enough to keep you entertained, there’s also Duke, the team everyone loves to hate.
“It’s just been so much fun so far,” Wisconsin’s Frank Kaminsky said, offering perhaps the biggest understatement of the month.
The marquee matchup is, of course, Wisconsin-Kentucky, only the third Final Four rematch in history.
