Black Women Thriving East of the River is addressing the economic, health, and societal challenges plaguing Wards 7 & 8 in DC through innovative strategies to improve employment opportunities and cancer survival among Black women, including a scholarship fund, a patients’ bill of rights, and community ambassadors.
