The new Will Smith and Martin Lawrence film โ€œBad Boys for Lifeโ€ topped the box-office receipts during its debut last weekend, pulling in $59 million more than expected, and is poised to cross $68 million through Monday, according to trade magazine Variety.

With solid critical reviews and an โ€œAโ€ CinemaScore from viewers that appear to have had an impact and boosted ticket sales, โ€œBad Boys for Lifeโ€ now holds the second-biggest opening ever for a January release behind only โ€œAmerican Sniper.โ€

The film also collected $37.3 million overseas with the film to pass $100 million worldwide after Monday โ€” all on a cost-effective $90 million budget.
