President Biden will receive his coronavirus booster shot on camera once federal health officials green-light the additional dose for Americans 65 and older.

The White House announced the president’s plans Monday, days after a federal advisory panel unanimously voted to recommend that the Food and Drug Administration authorize a third shot of the two-dose Pfizer vaccine for that age group, as well as for those at higher risk of infection, Axios reported.

If the FDA gives the authorization, a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention advisory group will meet to assess who gets the third shot and when, Axios reported.

As of Tuesday, roughly 83% of U.S. residents 65 and older have been fully vaccinated, according to CDC data.
