Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden will not go to Milwaukee for the Democratic National Convention, choosing instead to accept the party’s nomination virtually from his home state of Delaware.
The Democratic National Committee announced the decision Wednesday, adding that the other scheduled speakers — including Biden’s eventual running mate — will also address the convention virtually out of concern for the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
The convention will run from Aug. 17-20.
President Donald Trump said Wednesday that he would likely accept the Republican nomination from the White House instead of at the GOP convention in Charlotte, North Carolina.
